At Shandon Park Golf Club, the safety and wellbeing of our members, visitors, and staff is our highest priority.
That’s why we’ve implemented a comprehensive Hole-by-Hole Risk Assessment, designed to identify potential hazards and help everyone enjoy the game with peace of mind.
Our carefully structured risk assessment outlines key safety measures for each of our 18 holes. It considers everything from elevated tee boxes and tree-lined fairways to shared playing zones and natural hazards such as streams and slopes.
The assessment also highlights the importance of etiquette, like alerting others with a “Fore" and practical reminders such as using designated paths, avoiding slippery areas, and staying clear of greens staff at work.
This live and evolving document is regularly reviewed by our management and greenkeeping teams and is available to anyone who uses our course. It reflects our ongoing commitment to maintaining Shandon Park as a safe, enjoyable, and world-class golfing environment.
Fairway Bells are located on holes 3, 6, 12, & 14
Always Ring the Bell - whether or not you think the group behind can reach you, the bell is a key signal that the fairway is clear. It's about routine and responsibility. Always ring it. No exceptions.
FORE
If your ball is heading even remotely off-line, shout "FORE!" immediately. People safety is always the top priority.
